PipM.com can either offer a full design and hosting package or assist with the design, construction and implementation of personal and business websites. Sites can be constructed using either the Macromedia suite of programs (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash) or Microsoft Frontpage.

There are a lot of sites and books available to help guide in the process of designing a 'good' website but as can be seen as you surf the web there are sites that work and sites that don't.

Sites that are well worth a visit:

Basic Tips

  • Always design your pages so that they load quickly (or at least you entry page). Most people that surf will wait a maximum of 20 seconds or so for a page to load, unless it is a site that they particularly want to visit, and then they will move on if the page still hasn't loaded.
  • Avoid colour clashes and bad use of colours that could be difficult for people who are colour blind or are visually impaired.
